A Proper Pub is obsessed with the local community.

At Proper Pubs, we are obsessed with the community and run a series of national and local initiatives to support the communities we operate in.

We are proud to support Claire House Children’s Hospice, who help seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life.

Our Community Heroes love to support local initiatives, local people and use the pub to bring everyone together. All our Proper Pubs have a defibrillator outside for community use, with further initiatives to follow.

There is always something going on in a Proper Pub, and it usually involves the locals. We create a place for people to connect, socialise, and we support the local pub teams and offer traditional games. So like-minded customers can be found around all day.

Going The Extra Mile

The Blacksmiths Arms has been up for sale for a number of months and Christine and David have been super helpful with the sale process, being very flexible with viewings etc. Business as usual knowing the pubs days with Admiral are coming to a close.
