The Fox and Elm on Stroud Road re-opened on Monday 18th December following a major investment of £253,000
The pub is part of the Proper Pubs division at Admiral Taverns and has undergone a complete transformation and now boasts a brand-new look and fresh décor to appeal to all the local community. Inside the pub features a brand-new bar area complete with new furnishings, fixtures, fittings and flooring throughout. Outside the pub hosts two beer gardens, which have both been revamped to feature new lighting and seating.
For opening night, customers got to enjoy a meet and greet with the new operators and received a gift voucher entitling them to a complimentary drink to celebrate.
Operator of the Fox and Elm, Joanne Baker, said: “Opening night was fantastic, it was amazing to see all our customers, old and new, coming to see what the pub has to offer!
The feedback we received from our community was amazing, and we can’t wait to see them again soon!”
The Fox and Elm provides a wide range of drinks offers, including cocktails, wine and fizz promotions and will also host regular darts evenings, karaoke and DJ nights. In addition, the operators will be using a ‘copper mile’ to donate £4000 to support several local causes.
Matthew Gurney, Operations Director for Proper Pubs, said: “The refurbishment at the Fox and Elm looks fantastic – the team has worked really hard to ensure it is a success for the local community.
On behalf of the Proper Pubs team, we would like to wish our community heroes, Joanne and Mark, every success for the future in making the Fox and Elm a fantastic hub of the community”.
Proper Pubs is always supporting its communities through an array of events and charity fundraising initiatives, from Easter Egg collections to local foodbank donations and charity walks. In the run up to Christmas, pubs across its estate will be collecting Christmas selection boxes to donate to local charities.
