We Have Donated Over 12,000 Easter Eggs To Local Communities In Need Across The UK!

Thanks to the tremendous efforts and support of our Proper Pub’s operators, we have successfully collected over 12,000 chocolate Easter Eggs this year. The Easter Eggs have been collected and donated by individual community members from across the UK and will be donated to a host of different community groups local to those pubs.

Since the beginning of March, each pub has been collecting as many Easter Eggs as possible, encouraging their customers and local community to donate for those less fortunate. Each pub chose a selection of local charities, community groups, or organisations to donate to, with the aim to make sure individuals, families and children across the UK have a sweet treat to look forward to. These charities range from food banks to children’s hospitals and elderly care homes.  With each charity extremely happy to receive these donations.

Despite the ongoing pressures of the cost-of-living crisis, community spirit shone across the estate, with several pubs exceeding expectations and collecting an amazing amount of Easter Eggs. These pubs are:

  • Owd Joss, Hyde – 638 Easter Eggs
  • Sun, Chesterfield – 630 Easter Eggs
  • Old Kings Arms, Newark – 614 Easter Eggs

We are very grateful to our fantastic operators and their communities who have come together to make this happen, demonstrating Proper Pub’s commitment to community focus. Although Easter is now over, we’re still encouraging pubs and customers to donate any extra or unwanted Easter Eggs so we can continue to give back to the charities in need and demonstrate what our communities mean to us!
